2018 ROC Tech Conference: A Look Back
Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce partnered with member Innovative Solutions to present the 2018 ROC Tech Conference at the Joseph A. Floreano Rochester Riverside Convention Center. Nearly 300 people attended the event featuring keynote speakers Alex Banayan, author of "The Third Door" and Kristen Hadeed, founder of Student Maid and author of "Permission to Screw Up". Twelve breakout sessions focused on the tracks of Technology Trends, Business Insights, and Entrepreneurship and Innovation. Some of the Rochester and Finger Lakes region's top technology companies also showed off their goods and services at a vendor showcase. Keynote speaker Alex Banayan shared his story of winning a boat on The Price Is Right at age 19 and selling it to raise the money to go on a journey that led him to write "The Third Door". The "Strategic Intellectual Property Management and Big Data Analytics" breakout featured Lee & Hayes Partner Dominic Ciminello with a discussion of how big data analytics can be used to more clearly understand the IP landscape associated with areas of technology that are of strategic importance.
