MVP to Offer Free Ice-Skating Admission and Skate Rental at the Ice Rink in the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Park at Manhattan Square to Celebrate

Rochester, NY—January 16, 2024—MVP Health Care (MVP) today announced the opening of its new office located in downtown Rochester’s Seneca Building (20 S. Clinton Ave, Rochester, NY 14604). The relocation of MVP’s Rochester office further reinforces its commitment to the overall economic, social, and physical growth and well-being of the community.

"At MVP Health Care, we wholeheartedly embrace our responsibility to prioritize the health and well-being of the communities we proudly serve. Our newly established office space not only embodies this commitment, but also serves as a tangible symbol of our promise," said MVP Health Care’s President and CEO, Chris Del Vecchio. "Throughout the selection process, we consciously sought out a location that would allow our dedicated employees to become invaluable resources and community experts, guiding and supporting the unique needs of residents and businesses alike. We are humbled and honored to be actively contributing to the revitalization and resurgence of the City of Rochester. Our partnership with Mayor Evans, the Rochester City Council, and the Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce is a testament to our enduring investment in this region. Together, we are continually advancing our collective mission to deliver innovative solutions and unparalleled support for the betterment of our customers and the community at large."

With nearly 400 employees in Rochester, MVP’s new office will support a hybrid work environment to ensure that its employees have a physical presence in the building while providing flexibility. The Rochester office also features a large, Wi-Fi equipped outdoor patio, large conference rooms for collaboration, an employee gym, a relaxation and meditation room, and a customer exercise room that allows us to open our doors to the community and offer both in-person and virtual, instructor led fitness classes. There are also bilingual staff on-site daily who can help those in need of health insurance or help navigating their health needs.

To honor and celebrate the relocation, MVP will offer free admission and free ice skate rentals for the community at the ice rink in the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Park at Manhattan Square daily from Sunday, February 18th to Saturday, February 24th from 12:00-1:30pm.

"Emphasizing physical activity will forever remain a fundamental element of MVP's ongoing mission to foster vibrant and healthy communities," remarked Del Vecchio. "Offering free admission and skate rentals serves not only as an invitation to engage in outdoor activities during the chilly winter months but also as an opportunity for families to discover what downtown Rochester has to offer.”

“As Downtown transforms into Rochester’s fastest growing neighborhood, we are attracting incredible partners like MVP who are investing not only in real estate and square footage but also in our community’s health and well-being,” said Rochester Mayor Malik D. Evans. “With MVP and others leading the way, there has never been a better time to invest in the city. I believe 2024 will be a good year for Rochester.”

“I am excited to see MVP Health Care join the many other employers who call Downtown home,” President Meléndez said.  “MVP is the City’s health care provider, so it is great to see them invest in our city with this new local headquarters and to invest in our people with the jobs that they will provide here.  I am hopeful that we can work with MVP to ensure their workforce needs can be matched to Rochester residents seeking employment and I pledge myself and City Council will partner in any way we can.  When employers like MVP grow, invest, and thrive we all win with a stronger economy that brings safer streets and more opportunity for everyone.  As a bonus, we know wellness is a key part of what MVP does and I hope that important corporate focus will translate to a healthier Rochester.”

"Greater Rochester Chamber commends MVP Health Care for choosing downtown Rochester as the location for their new office in the Seneca Building, and for their ongoing commitment to the community's well-being,” said Bob Duffy, President and CEO, Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce. “We look forward to continued collaboration with MVP President and CEO Chris Del Vecchio and his team as they contribute to the revitalization of our great city."
