Bob Duffy Statement on House Passage of Coronavirus CARES Act
ROCHESTER, NY (March 27, 2020) Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Bob Duffy issued the following statement in response to the House of Representatives passing the Coronavirus CARES Act stimulus package:
Duffy said, “During this unprecedented time we are seeing families and businesses struggle every day and doing all that we can as the regional chamber of commerce to share information and resources as quickly as possible. I want to thank our elected leaders on both sides of the aisle for working to fast-track this legislation which will provide support to those who need it most. Included in the package is aid for individuals and families, relief for unemployed workers and struggling small businesses, and funds for New York State, our local governments, and our incredible healthcare organizations to continue doing their great work. To Governor Cuomo, Senators Schumer and Gillibrand, Congressman Morelle, and their tirelessly hardworking staffs, thank you on behalf of Rochester and Finger Lakes businesses. Your constant contact with our office and your leadership through this crisis have been remarkable.”
