“Today’s news regarding a statewide vaccination rate of 70% among New York’s 18+ population is a welcome announcement. Governor Cuomo, state and local health leaders, frontline healthcare heroes, the Finger Lakes Regional Control Room and Vaccination Hub, and our partners in business and government are to be credited for today’s milestone.
“The last 15 months have brought massive devastation to families, businesses, and communities across our region and beyond. New York was an early epicenter of the outbreak last March and April. In the months that followed we came together like never before to get vaccines in arms such that New York now has among the lowest positivity rates in the nation.
“We will continue to work with leaders at every level to ensure resources are made available such that Rochester and the Finger Lakes region are well positioned to build back stronger than ever before.”
