Business Groups Share Necessary Reforms with Governor’s Commission
A coalition including Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce and 41 other business organizations sent a letter to a commission created by Governor Andrew Cuomo to review the state’s business climate. The letter outlines a set of fundamental reforms that, if enacted, will immediately and demonstrably decrease the cost of doing business in New York State. Issues covered in the letter include Workers’ Compensation, health care costs, and small business taxes. The coalition told commission members that to truly make New York a place where existing businesses can grow and new ones want to locate, the reforms outlined in the letter must be considered priorities.
