Constellation Brands Promotes Nichole Malec to Vice President, Public Affairs
Rochester Chamber Partner member Constellation Brands, a leading beverage alcohol company, today announced that Nichole Malec has been promoted to Vice President, Public Affairs. As part of her expanded responsibilities, Malec will be lead advocate with elected officials in New York State and take a larger role with representing the company’s interests at the international, federal and state levels, working cross-functionally with all aspects of the business. She will also serve as Constellation’s key point of contact for public affairs issues related to cannabis.
“It is critical to Constellation’s success that our position on issues that matter to our business and to the communities where our more than 9,000 employees live and work, are considered by decision makers,” said Matt Stanton, Senior Vice President, Public Affairs. “Nichole’s work and the relationships she has built over the last four years while at Constellation and throughout her career in public policy, will ensure we have a seat at the table both on the Hill and in our local communities.”
Based in Rochester, N.Y., Malec joined Constellation in 2016 as Director of Public Affairs, and in that role was responsible for supporting and expanding the company’s visibility in public affairs efforts. She will continue to represent Constellation in various trade association and community efforts.
“I am excited to continue the good work we have done on behalf of Constellation Brands with the many dedicated lawmakers and community leaders we have come to know and work with,” said Malec. “In my new role, I look forward to strengthening relationships with key influencers across the U.S. and internationally on the issues that matter most to our business, our employees, and our communities.”
