Genesee Brewery Parent Company Announces Leadership Change

After nearly four years at Rochester Chamber Partner member North American Breweries (NAB), the parent company of the Genesee Brewery, Kris Sirchio will step down as Chief Executive Officer as FIFCO, NAB’s parent company, implements a new business model. The model will draw on FIFCO’s total company size, scale and beer industry experience to grow the U.S. business in an increasingly competitive and changing industry.

“Under Kris’ leadership, NAB has made significant progress integrating our triple bottom line strategy. He improved the company’s financial performance, transformed our supply chain, and engaged our employees, while increasing our community impact and improving our environmental footprint each year,” said Ramón Mendiola, CEO, FIFCO.

“Our vision is to focus more on our commercial business and simplify the company structure by aligning NAB’s practice areas to FIFCO,” said Mendiola. “To move in this direction, we’ve selected an innovative leader who has proven experience at FIFCO. He has spent more than two decades in the industry, and for the past five years has transformed our beer and flavored malt beverage business in Central America.”

FIFCO announced that Adrián Lachowski will be joining NAB as Chief Executive Officer in early February. Adrián is a 20-year beer industry veteran who will lead NAB’s total U.S. business, with a focus on elevating sales performance and brand marketing to drive commercial results.

Lachowski started with FIFCO in 2013 when he joined as General Manager of the Central American Beer and Flavored Malt Beverage business. Since joining the company, he transformed FIFCO’s beer business, reviving brands and growing market-share. Prior to joining FIFCO, Lachowski spent over 20 years in the beer and beverage industry, mostly with Anheuser-Busch InBev. Under his leadership, FIFCO developed strong, robust sales processes that delivered consistent results. Lachowski, who is an Argentine national, holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Buenos Aires and an MBA from Catholic University Argentina. He will work out of NAB’s Buffalo and Rochester locations, Labatt USA and Genesee Brewery respectively.
