Greater Rochester Chamber Academy: New Opportunities to Advance Your Career in 2024
Greater Rochester Chamber offers a number of training opportunities through our Chamber Academy and we are excited to share new opportunities in 2024. Starting in January, we are adding new courses and debuting a new updated curriculum for several others. This exciting refresh for Chamber Academy’s offering is creating new opportunities to build skills, better contribute to your organization, and advance your career.
New Mental Health Course
We’re excited to be offering a training course on Mental Health for the first time in 2024, titled “Navigating Challenges & Fostering Resilience!” This three-session training program focuses on identifying, understanding, and managing employee mental health. Participants will gain knowledge and skills to address mental health issues in the workplace, covering topics such as the impact of mental health on individuals and the organization, trauma-informed workplaces, and building a mental health and wellness strategy. New ATHENA Leadership Institute Training
We are excited to offer a ten-month virtual ATHENA Leadership training courses for both men and women at all stages in their leadership journeys. Greater Rochester Chamber is partnering with the ATHENA Leadership Institute™ to offer inspiring, empathy-based programs for community and organizational leaders as well as emerging leaders looking to grow personally and professionally. These trainings are designed to ignite leaders through inspirational training programs that usher them into a new paradigm of self-discovery. Updated DEI Training Curriculum
We’re pleased to share that our diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) training is coming back in January 2024 with a new and improved curriculum to help participants build knowledge and skills for all employees looking to make a difference in the DEI space. Topics covered in the new course include what the DEI movement is about, why DEI is important, how to implement a robust DEI strategy in an organization, and more. To learn more, see here. New Partnership
Greater Rochester Chamber is entering a new partnership with Monroe Community College in 2024 to offer a comprehensive program designed to prepare professionals for the SHRM-CP (SHRM Certified Professional) and SHRM-SCP (SHRM Senior Certified Professional) exams. This virtual workshop will dive deep into the SHRM Body of Applied Skills and Knowledge to help participants gain a comprehensive understanding of the guiding principles of the HR profession.
