Seven Phillips Lytle Attorneys Named Senior Associates
Buffalo, N.Y. – Phillips Lytle LLP attorneys Luke Donigan, Matthew J. Fitzgerald, Roxanne Mercado, John “Jack” T. Murray, Mark F. Pincelli, Erinn Prestidge and Michael R. Staszkiw have been promoted to senior associate as of January 1, 2024.

Luke Donigan, a member of the firm’s Land, Environment and Energy Practice Group, is a real estate and environmental lawyer who assists clients with a wide range of complex commercial real estate and environmental matters. His practice experience includes real estate transactions and commercial lease agreements, as well as contaminated properties, zoning and title matters, landlord-tenant disputes, land use matters, easements, telecommunications and environmental permitting.
Matthew J. Fitzgerald is a member of the Land, Environmental and Energy Practice Group, concentrating his practice in land use and zoning. Matt assists clients for both large and small scale development projects with the permitting and environmental review processes, including land use approvals, the State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA) and the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), permitting with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC), the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) and obtaining financial incentives for projects. He was named an Upstate New York Super Lawyers Rising Star and Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in America.
Roxanne Mercado is a member of the firm’s Corporate Practice Group, where she primarily focuses on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, fund formation, private securities offerings and other general corporate and securities law matters. Roxie has advised a broad range of clients on transactions across multiple industries, including real estate, financial services, consumer retail, technology, transportation and manufacturing.
John “Jack” T. Murray is a member of the Litigation Practice Group with extensive experience in bet-the-company environmental and commercial litigation. He has a particular focus on large environmental and commercial cases, including mass tort, product liability, breach of contract and business tort actions. He has been named an Upstate New York Super Lawyers Rising Star and Buffalo Business First’s 2022 30 Under 30.
Mark F. Pincelli is a member of the firm’s Litigation Practice Group, with a particular focus on labor and employment law. He assists clients with policies and compliance issues related to wage and hour laws, employee personnel policies and practices, noncompete agreements and other restrictive covenants, employment discrimination, unfair labor practices, general commercial contracts and the legalization of cannabis in New York and other states.
Erinn Prestidge is a member of the firm’s Banking and Financial Services Practice Group with experience representing regional and national lenders with community development lending involving low-income and senior housing, bond financing, construction lending, commercial real estate transactions, middle market transactions and small business lending.
Michael R. Staszkiw, CIPP/US, a member of Phillips Lytle’s Litigation Practice Group, focuses his practice on data privacy and cybersecurity. Michael represents clients in a wide range of matters, including compliance with federal and state privacy laws, reviewing data processing agreements, drafting policies and procedures, and assisting in data incident response. He has earned his Certified Information Privacy Professional/United States (CIPP/US) certification from the International Association of Privacy Professionals, demonstrating a commitment to staying up-to-date with the latest developments in the field of data privacy.
