Albany Law School Honors Peter J. Glennon With Humanitarian Award
ROCHESTER, N.Y., Jan. 30, 2024 — Peter J. Glennon has been recognized with the 2023 Albany Law School Humanitarian Achievement Award.
The award recognizes Glennon’s extraordinary humanitarian contributions and his dedication of time and legal expertise to improve quality of life and fight indifference, intolerance, and/or injustice through providing pro bono services, engaging in activism, supporting legal education and improving the delivery of legal services. The focus was heavily on Glennon’s work with veterans, especially co-founding and serving as board chair of Honor Flight Rochester Inc., which has flown 4,067 veterans on 81 missions since 2008.
His other community service includes serving on the board of Rochester Rotary Charitable Trusts Inc. and as past president of the Rochester Rotary Club. He also is a member of the American Legion (Post 899, Pittsford, N.Y.) and a former trustee of the Monroe County Bar Association.
