Empire State Development to host NYS Funding Opportunity Workshop for Organizations in Greater Rochester
Are you seeking funding from New York State for an upcoming project, plan, or initiative? Empire State Development is hosting a NYS Funding Opportunity Workshop at SUNY Geneseo on Thursday, June 6th.
At this workshop, you’ll have the chance to meet with representatives from various State agencies that have funding available in the coming months via the Consolidated Funding Application (CFA) and some funding opportunities that operate outside of the CFA as well.
The workshop will run from 1p to 3:30p and will include:
- Welcome Presentation and funding opportunity overview by Finger Lakes ESD Regional Director Laura Fox O’Sullivan (20 minutes)
- Participation in one of three simultaneous breakout sessions with the following agency representatives providing a brief overview and ample time for Q&A (1 hour)
- Empire State Development and Office of Strategic Workforce Development
- Department of State (DOS), Office of Parks, Recreation & Historic Preservation, Homes & Community Renewal (HCR), and Canals
- Department of Conservation (DEC), NYS Energy Research & Development Authority (NYSERDA), and New York Power Authority (NYPA)
- Network Session – open tables for discussions with ESD regional office and agency staff (1 hour)

The Finger Lakes Regional Economic Development Council (FLREDC) will be holding a public meeting at the same location that day from 10a to 12p.
