Susan George recognized with 2024 Women of Distinction honor by Assemblymember Harry Bronson
Last week, New York State Assemblymember Harry Bronson hosted a Women of Distinction ceremony honoring 25 women within the state’s 138th Assembly District. Susan George, Director, Events, Training, & Affiliates for Greater Rochester Chamber was one of the honorees.
The Women of Distinction awards recognize women who have gone above and beyond to better our Greater Rochester community in various fields such as education, healthcare, business, humanitarian work, military service, volunteerism, and community affairs.
“Please join me in celebrating the inspirational women of Monroe County who have positively impacted the lives of others and continue to be exemplary members of our community. The Women of Distinction awards provides the opportunity to spotlight these individuals for their work and accomplishments in several fields, including volunteer work, education, health care, business and military service," said Assemblymember Bronson.
George has served the Greater Rochester community through her work at Greater Rochester Chamber since 2001. In her role, Susan works with stakeholders throughout the region to plan and execute over 80 events each year on relevant topics to members and other community organizations. Greater Rochester Chamber events focus on key topics including professional development, social connectivity, diversity and equity, and leadership training, drawing over 7,000 attendees between our webinars, networking events, awards, and training programs.
Congratulations to Susan for this honor! Susan's commitment to our organization and our community is commendable and we are proud to see this recognition.
