Dr. Alissa Huston on Reducing the Risk of Cancer Recurrence
Rochester, NY – Each month, the Breast Cancer Coalition hosts a webinar as part of the organization’s Evening Educational Webinar Series. Focusing on a variety of topics related to health and wellness, the webinars are free and open to the public. On Wednesday, May 22 at 7 pm, Alissa Huston, MD, will present on reducing the risk of cancer recurrence for survivors.
Dr. Huston is a Medical Oncologist at Wilmot Cancer Center and is the Co-Medical Director of the Pluta Integrative Oncology & Wellness Center. Her presentation will focus on how to minimize the risk of cancer recurrence by embracing proactive strategies and lifestyle adjustments crafted to deter the resurgence of cancer cells post-treatment. Additionally, Dr. Huston’s presentation will focus on fostering and maintaining an overall healthier lifestyle.
The Breast Cancer Coalition’s four pillars of service are Support, Advocacy, Research, and Education. The Coalition believes it is essential to offer digestible, relevant, and up-to-date information on topics that directly impact survivors of breast and gynecologic cancer.
