Maura C. McGuire joins partnership at Adams Leclair
Litigator to Focus on Business and Real Estate Disputes
Rochester, N.Y.—Adams Leclair LLP is proud to expand its partnership with the addition of Maura C. McGuire. McGuire’s practice centers on complex business disputes and real estate litigation.
On joining Adams Leclair, McGuire said, “I am thrilled to begin this new chapter with Adams Leclair. I am looking forward to contributing to our team, working with great clients, and embracing the fantastic culture here.”
McGuire also focuses on navigating intricate legal challenges for property owners and property managers, including providing guidance on New York’s real property laws, advocating on their behalf in front of state agencies, and representing them in business, municipal, and tenant disputes.
Firm co-founder Paul Leclair had been an adversary in commercial litigation cases against McGuire and knew she would be a good fit for the firm.
“We are excited to have Maura join our firm as a partner. She has developed a dynamic practice and her real estate experience, to name only one, will add welcome depth to our litigation expertise. I look forward to Maura serving as a mentor to our more junior attorneys, as her personal style of advocacy and practice development should be emulated,” remarked Leclair.
The Spencerport native attended Binghamton University for her undergraduate studies and received her J.D. from George Mason University School of Law. She has worked at Harter Secrest & Emery LLP and was a partner at Morgenstern DeVoesick PLLC.
“This new position offers a platform for me to leverage my existing skills while also pushing me to grow in new and meaningful ways. Each phase of my career journey has brought me to this point, and I am deeply grateful for the experiences and opportunities I've had along the way,” added McGuire.
In 2022 and 2023, McGuire was selected as a Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in America™ for her work in Commercial Litigation. She has also been selected for inclusion on the Super Lawyers Upstate New York Rising Stars list annually since 2017 and was recognized as a New York State Bar Association Empire State Counsel Pro Bono Honoree.
Professionally, she serves as a member of the Board of Trustees for the Monroe County Bar Association and is a member of the New York Housing Association, Inc.
McGuire and her significant other, Justin, live in Brighton with their sheepadoodles Harvey and Winston, and regularly spend time on Sodus Bay.
