Greater Rochester Chamber Expands Access to Women’s Council Events for All Members

date
September 6, 2024

Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce a new membership structure that integrates the benefits of its Women’s Council (WC) affiliate, allowing all Greater Rochester Chamber members to participate in Women’s Council events without needing a separate membership. Beginning in 2024, Chamber membership will automatically include access to all Women’s Council activities and events, enhancing opportunities for thousands of women professionals in the region.

“We are thrilled to offer this enhanced benefit to our members,” said Susan George, Director of Events, Training, & Affiliates at Greater Rochester Chamber. “This change removes the barriers of additional dues, making it easier for women leaders within our member organizations to engage with the Women’s Council and its programs and initiatives.”

This streamlined approach also aligns with Greater Rochester Chamber’s organizational membership model, meaning that every employee within a member company can now access both Greater Rochester Chamber and Women’s Council events at the member rate. This inclusive model, which also includes our Small Business Council (SBC) affiliate, is designed to support the growth and development of all professionals throughout the Greater Rochester area.

"We are excited that more women will now have access to the valuable programs and initiatives offered by the Women’s Council. " said Sean Hawkins, President of the Women’s Council. “Through this membership change, we look forward to expanding our circle of professional women, growing our network, and ultimately creating more opportunities for young women, young professionals, and women across various fields. Our mission is to empower and support women, and this new structure will allow us to do that on an even greater scale.”
