The Committee for a Strong Economy Offers Endorsements for 2024 Election
The Committee for a Strong Economy is dedicated to ensuring the voice of business throughout the Finger Lakes region is heard at every level of government. To that end, we are pleased to announce the following endorsed candidates for New York State Senate, New York State Assembly, and Monroe County Clerk.
Each endorsed candidate has demonstrated a commitment to working with Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce and its more than 1,300 members on enhancing opportunities for growth and expansion, building upon workforce and economic development initiatives, and creating a climate in which individuals and businesses have the chance to thrive.
“Businesses across the Greater Rochester region continue to face challenges including high taxation, a complex regulatory environment, and ever-rising operating costs associated with energy, healthcare, insurances, and more,” said Timothy J. Mason, Chair, Committee for a Strong Economy. “The Committee is proud to endorse these candidates who have committed to advocating on behalf of the businesses that employ our residents and are working to make New York a friendlier business climate. Additionally, we were pleased to hear the endorsed candidates make a strong commitment to addressing the critical concerns over public safety, which continues to afflict local businesses and the community alike.”
As the Committee for a Strong Economy is a separate entity from Greater Rochester Chamber, so too is the decision-making process. Endorsements made by this Committee were done so independently by volunteer committee board members and according to the process as conveyed to the candidates.
