Greater Rochester Chamber hosts New York State Liquor Authority Chair Lily Fan for Industry Roundtable

date
October 29, 2024

Last week, Greater Rochester Chamber had the privilege of hosting State Liquor Authority Chair Lily Fan and Regional Director Jill Clark for an engaging roundtable discussion with Greater Rochester-area license holders including business leaders, restauranteurs, and entertainment venue owners.

Over the course of the conversation, our members and Chair Fan both came to better understand how businesses interact with this critical state agency, and how both sides can improve the customer service experience with this critical state agency. Moreover, businesses learned the pain points that the SLA faces as it works to expedite processes while balancing continued growth for businesses and the health and safety of New Yorkers.

What became abundantly clear following the conversation is that a collaborative and honest approach is essential for the success of all parties, with New York residents as the ultimate beneficiaries. Greater Rochester Chamber looks forward to continued collaboration with the SLA, and to advocating before the legislature as we strive to ensure our members get the tools and resources they need to serve our community. We want to thank Chair Fan for her candid insights with our members, and for her time joining us here in Rochester to show her commitment to operating an effective agency that serves New York’s business community.

Additional thanks to our members for joining us and to our 2024 Policy Matters series sponsors for helping Greater Rochester Chamber bring high quality legislative and policy events to our members
