ROCHESTER, N.Y., November 22, 2024 – ESL Federal Credit Union announces it will soon begin construction of a branch at 835 West Main Street in the City of Rochester. The new branch will serve as an anchor tenant within the city’s 12-acre Bull’s Head redevelopment initiative.

“We’re excited to bring this new branch to the Bull’s Head district and be a part of this impressive and inspiring redevelopment initiative in the City of Rochester,” said Mike Prince, vice president/director, branch & contact center, ESL Federal Credit Union. “This location will help us improve access to financial services in southwest Rochester and allows for the opportunity to deepen our relationships with individuals and businesses in Bull’s Head, 19th Ward,  J.O.S.A.N.A., and the surrounding neighborhoods.”

In May 2021, ESL first announced its commitment to build three new branches in the City of Rochester, with the goal of improving access to affordable banking services in city neighborhoods. To support this commitment, ESL opened its Lake Avenue Office in December 2021 and its Goodman Office in May 2023. Once completed, the Bull’s Head Office will be the fifth branch for ESL within the City of Rochester.

The Bull’s Head branch will have full-service capabilities within its approximately 4,600 square feet footprint offering personal, business banking, and wealth management services and employ a staff of seven. The office will also include amenities such as ATMs, drive-up teller and ATMs lanes, and heated sidewalks.

ESL is scheduled to begin groundbreaking by year-end, with an expected opening in Fall 2025.
