Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce to host inaugural Legislative Breakfast and Community Stewardship Awards

date
December 10, 2024

December 10, 2024 (ROCHESTER, NY) – Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce is pleased to host its first annual Legislative Breakfast on Thursday, January 16 at the Rochester Riverside Convention Center. As the voice of business for the nine-county Greater Rochester/Finger Lakes region, creating opportunities for our members to engage with elected leaders and help shape the future of our region is critical to our mission. This event, part of Greater Rochester Chamber’s Policy Matters series, will give members the opportunity to connect with some of Greater Rochester’s local delegates and prominent community leaders as they discuss legislative priorities that will shape the future of our region’s business climate and economic growth.

We will also honor exceptional leaders from both the nonprofit and for-profit sectors for their remarkable contributions to the community at this year's legislative breakfast. Jaime Saunders, President & CEO of United Way of Greater Rochester and the Finger Lakes in the nonprofit sector, and Nancy Catarisano, CPA, Managing Partner at Insero & Co. CPAs, LLP in the for-profit sector, have been selected as the inaugural recipients of the Community Stewardship Award. This recognition celebrates their outstanding leadership and their dedication to making a positive impact in our community.

This annual awards program honors visionary leaders from both sectors who demonstrate exceptional commitment to enhancing the civic well-being of our community through impactful initiatives in education, public health, philanthropy, and workforce development.

“We are excited to launch this new program to allow our members to connect with legislators. Greater Rochester Chamber is a convener, and creating this opportunity for direct engagement with elected officials is critical to our mission to harness the voice of our 1,300 collective members to drive the interests of our business and region forward. Thank you to our elected leaders for making time in their busy schedules to come and listen to community input,” said Bob Duffy, President & CEO, Greater Rochester Chamber. “We are also proud to recognize Jamie and Nancy for their outstanding civic leadership in our community. These individuals have had a profound impact on the Greater Rochester region. We are eager to publicly thank them for their contributions.”
