Harris Beach Murtha Welcomes New Partner with Deep Experience Representing Regional and National Lenders
(Jan. 21, 2025) — Harris Beach Murtha is pleased to announce the addition of new partner Heather CM Rogers to its Financial Restructuring, Bankruptcy and Creditors’ Rights Practice Group. This group, known for its experience navigating the complex statutes and procedures involved in bankruptcy proceedings, workouts, foreclosure and creditors’ rights litigation, will benefit from Heather’s extensive experience and knowledge.
Heather will provide regional and national lenders with legal counsel in debt refinancing and restructuring, commercial contract dispute resolution, bankruptcy, foreclosure, distressed investments, commercial and consumer collection and Uniform Commercial Code compliance.

Heather, who holds an M.B.A., has more than 25 years of legal experience, mainly focused on representing mortgage lenders in commercial and residential foreclosures, REO, evictions, bankruptcy and workouts. She also represented clients in commercial and residential buy, sell, lend, development and lease transactions, as well as worked with small businesses on entity formation and business operations.
A licensed real estate broker and authorized title agent, Heather is a Fellow of the American College of Mortgage Attorneys and a frequent lecturer on a wide range of real estate-related topics, including mortgage foreclosure and workouts, the New York judicial foreclosure process, Vacant and Abandoned property law, Foreclosure Abuse Prevention Act and commercial and residential real estate transactions. She also provides extensive training for clients, specifically in the areas of foreclosure, creditors’ rights, bankruptcy and evictions.
Heather previously served as managing partner of a mid-sized Rochester, New York law firm, where she was responsible for all day-to-day operations, including finance, budgeting, human resources, marketing and community relations.
