Naloxbox Vending Machines Available to Monroe County Businesses at No Cost

date
February 11, 2025

The Monroe County Department of Public Health Addiction Services Division has Naloxbox vending machines available to local businesses or clinics. Adding naloxone to first-aid supplies in the workplace can be part of an employer's strategic health and safety plan.

Monroe County has been placing Naloxboxes in the community for over 3 years and has larger vending machines available at this time. The regular Naloxboxes house approximately 9 boxes of Narcan and are wall mounted. The Vending machines house approximately 50 doses. Vending machines can be placed by businesses, organizations, or schools in a public place that is easily accessible by the public. The Monroe County Addiction Services Team will refill the boxes and perform routine maintenance.

9 vending machines are currently available, as well as regular Naloxboxes on a first come first serve basis. To learn more or get a box at your location, please call their hotline at (585) 753-5300.
