Bob Duffy receives 2025 Community Impact Award from Urban League of Greater Rochester

Greater Rochester Chamber President & CEO Bob Duffy accepted the Urban League of Rochester’s 2025 Community Impact Award at their 60th Anniversary Gala on Friday, February 14, 2025.

The award celebrates the lasting impact he’s had on Greater Rochester and the spirit of progress and unity Duffy has embodied throughout his career.

"This award honors Bob Duffy's extraordinary leadership and vision, as well as the profound impact he has made throughout his career. From his transformative work as President and CEO of Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce to an unwavering commitment to advancing economic growth, inclusivity, and opportunity, Duffy exemplifies the very essence of a community trailblazer," said Dr. Seanelle Hawkins, President & CEO, Urban League of Rochester, "His leadership embodies the spirit of progress and unity that the Urban League has championed for 60 years. Like Frederick Douglass and Susan B. Anthony, whose legacies continue to shape Rochester’s history, Bob Duffy's steadfast dedication to diversity, equity, and inclusion dismantles barriers, elevates voices, and uplifts all citizens."

Several other community leaders were honored, including the former CEOs of the Urban League, William A. Johnson, Jr. and William G. Clark, and Essie Calhoun-McDavid, and Emerson U. Fullwood. The Urban League of Rochester offers over 25 programs in youth services, services for individuals with developmental disabilities, economic development, employment services, family and children services, education, homeownership, and entrepreneurial assistance.
