Villa of Hope Named Best Addiction Treatment Center in Rochester, NY
Rochester, NY - Wednesday, September 1, 2021
Villa of Hope was recognizedas one of America’s Best Addiction Treatment Centers by Newsweek and Statista. Villa of Hope was the only Rochester, NY-basedprovider on the ranking list and one of the top providers in New York State. The recognition comes during an important time as the need to support people needing substance use disorder treatment continues to increase, and Villa of Hope is partnering with Monroe County and New York State Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS) and stepping up its service to meet the demand. You can review the list of recognized providers here on Newsweek’s website.
“Villa of Hope is proud to see this recognition, especially during a time where our services are more in demand than ever,” said Christina Gullo, President & CEO of Villa of Hope. “Last year, there was a 31% increase in deaths related to substance abuse, and we are committed as ever to step up services, partner with the community, and support people in need.”
Villa of Hope Stepping up for People Needing Substance Use Disorder Treatment
For nearly 80 years, Villa of Hope (VOH) has been serving youth, families, and adults who have experienced trauma in the Greater Rochester community. Annually, Villa of Hope serves 4,000 people throughout various programs including behavioral health services, residential programs, care coordination support, the Villa of Hope School, and workforce development training. Currently, VOH has been supporting individuals needing substance use disorder treatment through our Live In Freedom Early: LIFE Residential Program, a holistic residential treatment program for adolescents ages 13-21 with substance use disorders, and our Chemical Dependency Outpatient Clinic. The clinic, certified by NYS OASAS, is committed to providing comprehensive treatment to adolescents and adults, and their families. Services are available for individuals struggling with addiction or drug abuse, parents struggling to cope with their adolescents’ addiction, as well as those impacted by a loved one’s addiction. Monroe County has seen an increase in people with substance use disorders since 2019, and Villa of Hope has been adapting and growing its services to meet the community demand.
Later this year, Villa of Hope will open its Living Hope Detox Center, a brand-new, integrated recovery and mental health facility in Greece. The new center will serve individuals ages 16 and up residing in Monroe County and surrounding areas of New York State. Villa of Hope is excited to introduce its new medically supervised withdrawal and stabilization treatment home to the Rochester community. This center will be the first community, agency-run inpatient center of its kind in Monroe County. With opioid use at an all-time high and the increasing numbers of overdoses and deaths due to substance abuse, Villa of Hope is proud to provide groundbreaking and life-changing opportunities for adolescents and adults to find hope and to recover and rebuild their lives through specialized detox programs.
