About the Breast Cancer Coalition
The Breast Cancer Coalition is a local grassroots organization dedicated to eradicating breast cancer through action and advocacy. Formally established as a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization in 1997, the Coalition is presently the only full-scope, independently-operated organization dedicated to serving breast and gynecologic cancer survivors in a 27-county region of the Finger Lakes, Central, and Western New York. The Coalition’s mission is to cultivate community among those touched by breast or gynecologic cancer; to empower informed decision-making through education, support, and advocacy; and to advance research in our region with the goal of eradicating breast cancer.
