PGA to Host Career Exploration Day at the 2023 PGA Championship
Individuals interested in learning about careers in golf industry can attend on May 13
High school and college students — and even second-career professionals — who are interested in getting an “inside look” at the various career opportunities in the golf industry are invited to attend PGA’s Career Exploration Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 13.
“You don’t have to play the game to work in the game,” event organizer and PGA recruiter Chris Kulinski said. “We want to give those who are considering a career or just a job in golf an opportunity to meet PGA leaders and get a firsthand look at the 2023 PGA Championship just before it kicks off. Golf is a great connector in business — and in life — and this could really start that for someone.”
With over 2 million jobs in the $90 billion dollar industry, golf is larger than the movie industry. Right now, there are many opportunities for individuals to work in golf and that will only increase in the next 5 to 10 years with the current workforce getting closer to retirement.
All participants will have a personalized tour of the 2023 PGA Championship grounds at Oak Hill Country Club and will have an opportunity to meet and network with key leaders involved in the championship along the way. This event specifically highlights tournament operations, technology, media and merchandising.
Lunch with PGA leaders will be provided.
Additionally, all event attendees will receive two complimentary practice round tickets to the 2023 PGA Championship.
Limited space is available, with only 40 spots remaining. The event is capped at 175 participants. Click here to register.
