Al Sigl Foundation Welcomes New Vice President

[November 1, 2023] Al Sigl Community of Agencies welcomes Brenda C. Geglia as Vice President of the Al Sigl Foundation, which awards over $1 million annually to Al Sigl Community and its seven Member Agencies. Al Sigl Member Agencies serve over 55,000 children and adults across the region with special needs each year.

As part of the senior leadership team, Brenda will guide the Foundation’s fundraising and stewardship initiatives, including campaigns, and planned giving. She brings over 16 years of experience in the field, having most recently served as Senior Director of Advancement for Neurosurgery and Psychiatry at the University of Rochester. In prior roles, she served as Director of Advancement for River Campus Libraries and Associate Director of Annual Giving. Brenda received her bachelor’s degree from Daemen University, masters degree from the Warner School at University of Rochester and is an MBA candidate in the Simon Business School at the University of Rochester.

Brenda is a Board Member at DelphiRise, a community-based social services nonprofit that offers a broad range of supports including treatment for people experiencing substance use disorders, addiction prevention services including school-based programs, re-entry support services for incarcerated individuals, and domestic violence education. Brenda is also a volunteer for Meals On Wheels. She lives in Pittsford with her husband and two stepdaughters.

Brenda notes, “Al Sigl has an enduring reputation and remains true to its mission of supporting organizations that provide critical services in our community. I’m excited to be joining Al Sigl and this amazing team.”
