Breast Cancer Coalition hosts webinar on The Long-Term Effects of Chemotherapy with Dr. Rachel David of the Lipson Cancer Institute
Rochester, NY – Each month, the Breast Cancer Coalition hosts a webinar as part of the organization’s Evening Educational Webinar Series. Focusing on a variety of topics related to health and wellness, the webinars are free and open to the public. On Wednesday, April 24 at 7 pm, Rachel David, MD, will present on the long-term effects of chemotherapy for cancer survivors.
Dr. David is a Medical Oncologist at the Lipson Cancer Institute through Rochester Regional Health. Her presentation will focus on the survivor experience post-chemotherapy. For many survivors, receiving chemotherapy treatment can impact heart and bone health, result in cognitive or metabolic changes, impact sexual wellness, influence levels of stress and anxiety, and cause neuropathy in the hands and feet. During the webinar, Dr. David will discuss ways to manage these potential side effects so that survivors can focus on well-being, self-care, and quality of life following chemotherapy.
The Breast Cancer Coalition’s four pillars of service are Support, Advocacy, Research, and Education. The Coalition believes it is essential to offer digestible, relevant, and up-to-date information on topics that directly impact survivors of breast and gynecologic cancer. The Evening Educational Webinar Series is always free of charge – just like all of the Coalition’s programs and services – to ensure community members can access these valuable and important resources.
Register today at https://bccr.org/evening-educational-webinars/ and submit questions prior to April 24th to Christina@BCCR.org. Dr. David will have the opportunity to answer questions following her presentation.
