New Workshop Offering: RochesterWorks Resources for Monroe County Businesses

date
July 11, 2024

RochesterWorks offers an abundance of services to businesses in Monroe County. To make these programs more accessible, they are launching a new virtual workshop specifically for our business partners on Tuesday, July 23 from 10:00-12:00pm.

Topics explored in this workshop include:

  • Recruiting Supports: Learn how to leverage the RochesterWorks job seeker network to increase your company reach. Not only will you learn how to post positions on their JobBoard, but they will share information on how to get involved with their Recruiting Events and promote your own!
  • Hiring Grants: Explore grants managed by RochesterWorks that help reduce the financial strain of hiring new employees. The Work Experience Tryout Grant is designed to allow businesses to try candidates in a short-term, paid work experience to assess if their skills and work habits are a fit for your business and its culture. The On-the-Job Training Grant is designed to empower your business to hire candidates who are a good fit for the company but require additional hands-on training to develop the skills to be successful in their new position.
  • Employee Development: Discover how to access RochesterWorks' selection of free Workshops traditionally intended for job seekers and use them to elevate the development of your workforce. They also now offer the Incumbent Worker Training Grant that is designed to help alleviate the cost of providing targeted training to your existing employees.

REGISTER HERE for this free virtual workshop taking place on Tuesday, July 23 from 10:00am to noon.
