Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce receives 2024 Chuck Steiner Memorial Chamber of the Year Award at Business Council of New York State Annual Meeting

On Thursday, September 19, the Business Council of New York State presented Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce with the 2024 Chuck Steiner Memorial Chamber of the Year Award at its annual meeting in Bolton Landing, NY. The award recognizes an outstanding organization and leadership team that makes doing business in New York State a better experience for its members.

“Thank you to Heather Milligan and the Business Council of New York State team for this prestigious honor. This award celebrates the teamwork and collaboration of our 41 team members who work hard each day on behalf of our members and our community,” said Bob Duffy, President & CEO, Greater Rochester Chamber, “We exist to serve our members and community and this honor is greatly appreciated by our entire team. We will all continue to work hard to grow the Greater Rochester region and its businesses.”

At the annual meeting, Greater Rochester Chamber received recognition for its work to strengthen the Greater Rochester regional economy through a continued focus on MWBEs, local, State, and Federal advocacy, and talent development strategies to recruit and retain top talent to the region.

In addition to the award celebration at the Annual Meeting, members of Greater Rochester Chamber’s leadership team connected with leaders throughout New York to collaborate on statewide efforts within a rapidly changing environment. Conversations revolved around strengthening our workforce pipeline, education system, support for small businesses, and more. We are eager to see the results of these important conversations and continue to foster a supportive business climate throughout NYS looking forward.
