date

Guest post from Greater Rochester Chamber member University of Rochester

Simon Vision Consulting (SVC) is a professional student-run organization at the University of Rochester's Simon Business School, founded in 2012. SVC connects MBA and MS students with local and international businesses to provide pro bono consulting services.  Together, we help our clients achieve their goals by providing meaningful and actionable insights that add value to their strategy and operations.

SVC's mission is two-fold: We aim to give back to our community through pro bono services while providing students with an opportunity to apply the skills they are learning in their master's programs to real-world business scenarios.

SVC conducts two project cycles each year, one for the Fall semester and one for the Spring semester.  We have a strong track record of working with a diverse range of organizations, including the City of Rochester Government, the Chamber of Commerce, the Rochester Fire Department, The Strong National Museum of Play, New York City's Hudson Guild, Volunteers of America, and many other private and public sector organizations.

Our student consultants provide expertise in a variety of areas, including:

  • Pricing Strategy
  • Product Launch
  • Brand Management
  • Go-to-Market Strategy
  • Business Growth Strategy
  • Market Assessment & Positioning
  • Digital & Social Media Marketing
  • Financial Planning & Management
