Feedback Needed: New York’s Competitiveness Blueprint Report
Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce recently partnered with the New York State Economic Development Council (NYSEDC) and The Business Council of New York State Inc. (BCNYS) along with nearly 40 state associations, regional chambers of commerce, economic development organizations (EDOs) and Industrial Development Agencies (IDAs) – including ours - to develop a competitiveness report and new economic blueprint for New York State. The report aims to objectively compare how New York State’s business and economic climate stacks up against other states across dozens of metrics and develop specific policy recommendations to enhance our competitiveness, reduce outward migration, and attract new investment across the state. The report is being compiled by Economic Leadership LLC, a nationally recognized consulting company that works with many states around the country on similar work.
The group recently concluded 10 in-person regional roundtables and 15 virtual industry-specific discussions with stakeholders around New York. Now, it is time to hear from you and allow your voice to be heard!
