Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce is committed to building a positive, inclusive work culture that values diversity and empowers every employee. The Greater Rochester Chamber Inclusive Leadership Award recognizes and honors top executives, department leaders, HR professionals, and change-makers who are driving inclusivity in the workplace, as well as the organizations that support them. These organizations empower these individuals by providing the platform, resources, and opportunities needed to foster an inclusive workplace culture that values diversity, innovation, collaboration, and employee well-being. Together, they lead initiatives that promote empowerment and create lasting impact.

Who Should Apply?
The award recognizes top executives, department leaders, HR professionals, change-makers, and their supportive organizations dedicated to fostering a positive, inclusive, and diverse work culture. It honors individuals (and their supportive organizations) committed to:

  • Cultivating a positive, inclusive, and collaborative work environment for all employees.
  • Advocating for the well-being and engagement of all employees.
  • Championing fairness, inclusivity, and equity in workplace practices for all employees.
  • Leading initiatives that enhance overall organizational inclusive culture and employee satisfaction.

Award Criteria:
Commitment to a Positive & Inclusive Work Environment
The nominee (and their organization) take a proactive approach to building a supportive, inclusive workplace through policies and initiatives that enhance engagement, satisfaction, and diversity. This includes effective recruitment, retention, and development practices that embrace diverse perspectives and foster a thriving, equitable work culture.

Excellence in Mentorship, Training, & Development
The nominee (and their organization) promote mentorship, training, and development programs that support employee growth while fostering respect, collaboration, inclusivity, and diverse opportunities. Their efforts ensure employees from all backgrounds feel valued and are given a chance to succeed.

Community Impact through Inclusive Leadership
The nominee (and their organization) positively impact the community by fostering a strong, inclusive workplace culture. Through community initiatives and teamwork, they create pathways for collaboration beyond the office, demonstrating a commitment to safety, well-being, and equitable opportunities for the broader community.

Dr. Candice Lucas Receives
2024 Inclusive Leadership Award

Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce presented Dr. Candice A. Lucas with its third annual Inclusive Leadership Award at a ceremony on Thursday, September 26, 2024.

Save the date for our 4th annual 2025 Greater Rochester Chamber Inclusive Leadership Award celebration on Thursday, July 10, 2025 at the Rochester Riverside Convention Center! Candidates are also encouraged to apply without a prior nomination.
