To propel an environment of equitable economic growth and empowerment, Greater Rochester Chamber proudly presents the inaugural Greater Rochester Chamber MWBE Awards, in partnership with Insero Advisors, LLC. Our unwavering belief in extending avenues of economic progress to all employers, regardless of their background, is a key part of our mission.

The Greater Rochester Chamber MWBE Awards celebrate the remarkable achievements of our region's fastest-growing minority- and women-owned business enterprises (MWBEs), highlighting their courageous journeys and ongoing success stories.

Minority- and women-owned businesses seeking recognition through the Greater Rochester Chamber MWBE Awards can apply annually through a straightforward application process.

To be eligible for the Greater Rochester Chamber MWBE Awards, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  1. Applicants must show proof of a minimum of 51% ownership, operation, and control by minorities and/or women. 
  2. Privately held, headquartered in the nine-county Greater Rochester/Finger Lakes region
  3. A minimum gross revenue of $250,000 in each of the 3 most recent fiscal years. All revenue information will be reviewed by a third-party accounting firm (Insero Advisors, LLC) and will remain strictly confidential.

In addition to the Greater Rochester Chamber MWBE Awards celebration, Greater Rochester Chamber, in partnership with Monroe County, COMIDA, and MCIDC, supports and celebrates locally certified MWBEs. Monroe County is committed to providing opportunities for underutilized businesses to grow, build capacity, and create generational wealth. Since its inception in January 2021, Monroe County has certified over 500 MWBEs.
